new belgium ranger ipa india pale ale coming soon to the market will be the new belgium ranger ipa. the beer made an appearance on draft at the boise beer fest this past august but will now be available in 6-packs year-round. its the brewerys first-ever ipa to appear in bottles. simcoe, cascade and chinook make up the hop profile in this 7% abv beer (hop level is 60 ibus). look for new belgiums ranger ipa to be hitting the area in late january.

december 31, 2008 the star here is the beautiful 2005 cabernet sauvignon benchland select. its dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by aromas of gravelly earth intermixed with notions of lead pencil shavings, blue as well as blackberries, and spice. medium-bodied with solid yet ripe tannins, good structure, a bordeaux-like weight, and a clean, pure finish, it displays admirable purity and texture. it will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age, and should drink well for two decades. robert parker gave this wine a score of 92 points.

ipa stands for india pale ale and ours is an american version of the classic style. ipas namesake lies in its colonial roots. british soldiers on their way to india drank a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops the beer would stay fresh. voila! a new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. southern tier ipa is tripled on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience. 6.9% abv 11.4l india pale ale when we sat down to collaborate on this beer, we knew we had to create something extraordinary. after sampling a wide array of great beers, we hit upon an idea: use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malted barley north america has to offer, and crystal filtered artesian water. thus creating this classic american style pale ale. 5.4% abv 7.3l american pale ale porter is our darkest beer, but not necessarily our strongest. it is widely held that the darker the beer, the stronger the beer, but this is summarily false. the contribution of color comes directly from the color of malt that we use. some malt is roasted to achieve dark color and coffee-like flavor which in turn get transferred to the beer. our porter is richly complex with overtones of chocolate and espresso beans followed by a subtle flavor of hops. its a nourishing beer without being too sweet or filling. 5.6% abv 46.7l robust porter

special force ale (american style ipa) - this deep gold colored brew has a strong citrus-like flowery hop aroma. the intense hop bitterness and flavor is backed by medium maltiness and body. our ipa is hopped seven times during the boil with summit, centenial, lots of cascade hops and dry-hopped (adding hops directly to the beer post-fermentation) for additional character. special force ale is left unfiltered to lock all the hop freshness. 5.8% alcohol smokestack amber ale - this american style amber ale has a lot of character. it starts with a crisp hop flavor, balanced by a soft caramel maltiness. this amber colored nectar finishes with a pleasant dry roastiness. 5% alcohol celtic pride irish stout - this dark, almost black ale is brewed with 12 different malts for a very complex palette. coffee-like roasted malt aromas are prominent in the nose. this stout has a rich, full flavor with a medium body and moderate bitterness. its caramel and coffee-like character gives way to a distinctive dry-roasted bitterness in the finish. 5.5% alcohol crown town brown ale - this dar brown ale has a gentle malt sweetness with a nutty, light caramel character that lasts into the finish. brewed with imported english maris otter barley and fuggle hops. its dry finish and low hop bitterness makes it readily suited to drinking in quantity. refreshing, yet flavorful.
